Day 01 – arrive Hanoi in the early morning where you’ll be met and transfer to your hotel for 2 nights. In the afternoon take a walking tour of the old quarter where you’ll find all manner of items for sale in the narrow streets. Stop at a pavement café and take in the buzz of the city where it seems all life passes in front of you.

Day 03 – drive to beautiful Halong Bay for an overnight cruise on a tradition junk. This is one of Vietnam’s greatest natural wonders and has many thousands of islands that rise up out of the water. Enjoy the view as you cruise among the islands.

Day 04 – this morning you disembark and travel on to the charming seaside town of Hoi An where you spend 2 nights. After lunch take a guided walking tour to see the old merchant house, Chinese assembly hall and the iconic Japanese covered bridge. On your second day you can do as you please browse the shops and discover the market or you may like to relax on the beach.

Day 06 – Travel to Hue the former imperial capital, visit the elaborate tomb of the former emperor Tu Duc, the citadel and Imperial Palace, home to the Nguyen Dynasty who ruled from 1802-1945. From here visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, Hues’s oldest and probably most beautiful religious monument situated near the banks of the Perfume River.

Day 07 – fly to Saigon where you’ll stay for 2 nights. During your stay in the city you’ll have the chance to visit the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and the old Post Office. Take time to wander and explore the historic Dong Khoi Street and perhaps stop off at the Rex Hotel for a sundowner. The hotel was originally built in the 1920’s and is famous as the American Military Commands HQ during the Vietnam War, it was from here the reunification of Vietnam was announced in 1976.

Day 09 – After breakfast head to the famous Cu Chi tunnels just outside the city and once used by Viet Cong soldiers during the conflict. Return to the city for an afternoon at leisure and time for last souvenirs before heading home.

Day 10 – Transfer to Saigon airport for your onward flight.

Day 01 arrive into Saigon and transfer to your hotel for 3 nights.

Day 04 – Head to the airport for your flight to Danang and onward transfer to Hoi An for a 3 night stay. This charming seaside town is a great spot for exploring at your own pace, do take a guided walking tour to see the old merchant house, Chinese assembly hall and the iconic Japanese covered bridge. On your second day you can do as you please browse the shops and discover the market or you may like to relax on the beach.

Day 06 – Fly to the capital Hanoi and transfer to your hotel for a 3 night stay. Be sure to take a walking tour of the old quarter where you’ll find all manner of items for sale in the narrow streets. Stop at a pavement café and take in the buzz of the city where it seems all life passes in front of you. In the early evening take a walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and enjoy the view, local people gravitate to this area and there’s a real buzz as you stroll around.

Day 09 – transfer to the airport for your onward flight. You might like to visit somewhere else in Vietnam or combine it with Cambodia, Laos or Thailand. Whichever you choose our consultants will be happy to put together an itinerary which suits you.
